Can you imagine how important the square root symbol can be? Of course if you are from high school then for sure you would be doing a lot of assignments and solving equations, and how can you be sure that there is a math and no square root is involved.
For sure you have to deal with this symbol and unfortunately there you cannot type it directly from the keyboard like the other special characters, because it is not that frequently used as others, however there are some options that you can use to solve this.

“ √ “ just copy this symbol from here and save this on your separate file and paste it every time you need it, this can be time saving but you have to open the file and copy it every time.

Second and best way is to press alt key on your keyboard and then type “251 “ and then it will let you type the square root, as this command is the direct reference to square root symbol, also not that if you are using Laptop Science Students then you might have to press Fn key + alt key and then type your code which 251.
Number 3:
You can also use equation from Microsoft word and that can be inserted using “insert equation” option, and that is the most sensible way too, because it lets you type your square root number right below the square root, so it seems more genuine and nice, also if you are preparing sheet for a print out, then this is what I will recommend you.
